Kennedy Agyapong, the New Patriotic Party's member of parliament for Assin Central, in the Central region could not control himself on Adom TV when he wept over the sudden death of NPP's Upper East regional chairman, Mahama Adams.

He shed tears as he recounted the circumstances that led to the death of the Chairman.

The reason for his tears on set, he said, stems from the fact that he could not fathom why certain persons in the party are doing everything within their means to prevent Nana Akufo-Addo from becoming President.

“We would bury him (Adams Mahama) tomorrow Saturday, then after that, what again, nobody would step foot there again…who would take care of his children…why, why, why…?” he asked.

Meanwhile, he  has charged the youth to amass at the party's headquarters and demand the immediate resignation of its National Chairman, Paul Afoko. Read more Kennedy Agyapong incites NPP youth to chase Paul Afoko from office

The maverick politician in a statement said all the reports and indications suggest that Mr. Afoko's name will be linked to this reprehensible killing of of the U.E Regional Chairman, during and after the police investigation.
