An eye witness who was a passenger in the Metro Mass bus with the registration number GR 5182-15 narrated the incident to Joy News that the two back tyres of the vehicle exploded and caught fire when they reached Adom City, a community on the highway.

The driver was forced to stop and some passengers in a run for their lives had to do so by jumping through the windows. However, the good news is all the passenger survived the scare unhurt.

Although the Ghana Fire Service was called to intervene, the witness said it took them more than 30 minutes to get to the scene. But a fire officer explained that the call went to the headquarters in Accra before it was transferred to their division for action to be taken.
