Over 20 jobs uncertain as workers count losses

The workers, numbering over 20, could not say how secure their jobs were considering the extent of damage caused by the fire.

The fire which is said to have started around 7:15pm destroyed properties running into thousands of cedis.

The cause of the fire is not entirely known, but fire service personnel who arrived at the scene said some combustible materials within the premises of the Vienna City attributed to the quick spread of the fire.

The fire personnel managed to completely put out the fire an hour after they arrived.

When Pulse.com.gh reporter, David Mawuli visited the scene of the fire, workers were seen trying to access the casino of the Vienna City to salvage what may be left of the disaster. Some workers were also packing their baggage to find refuge.

Meanwhile, the fire service is yet to give a detailed report on what caused the fire.
