Ghana is on track with petroleum management – Tsatsu Tsikata

Petroleum expert , Tsatsu Tsikata, speaking on Starr FM  revealed Ghana is on track with regards to the management of the oil sector.

“We are on track because we have a frame work that enables us to avoid the troubles that have confronted Nigeria and other areas."

Mr. Tsikata added,  a lot more is required to totally avoid the difficulties other countries have been hit with in their handling of the sector.“We have to recognise that we do not have all the means to deal with resources"."The Brazilians did a great job of developing their own capacity. Their technology in oil and gas is exported to the US and that should probably be part of the overall objective for developing countries".

He disclosed that the West African country had faced challenges with its oil sector in the past, its new President Muhammadu Buhari appears to be bringing some sanity to the sector.
