Jomoro NDC members asked to bury differences

Mr Elleam Nyankey pointed out that the current division in the party in the constituency, if not resolved, would make it very difficult for the party to win the up-coming elections in the area.

An NDC Parliamentary aspirant in the Jomoro Constituency in the 2012 Parliamentary election, Mr Thomas Elleam Nyankey, has appealed to party members, especially the executives, to bury their differences, to enable the party retain the seat in the 2016 general elections.

He pointed out that the current division in the party in the constituency, if not resolved, would make it very difficult for the party to win the up-coming elections in the area.

Mr Nyankey made the appeal when he addressed party members and delegates at Half Assini, during a three-day tour of the constituency.

He said there had been factions among the rank and file of the party in the area, following the constituency primaries in 2011 and the constituency executives elections early this year.

He stated that the 2016 elections would not be an easy task, and therefore urged members to come together as a formidable team and work hard for victory.

Mr Nyankey urged the Regional and National Executives of the party to ensure that there was unity and peace in the party before the election time.

He expressed his gratitude to party members and delegates in the area for supporting him in the last NDC Primaries which he lost to the sitting MP, Wing Commander Francis Kabenlah Anaman (rtd).

He has already visited Jaway-Wharf, Takinta, Bonyere, Newtown, Half-Assini and Beyin Zones, where he met members and appealed to them to intensify their campaign for member drive.

Mr Nyankey urged members of the party to educate the public on party policies and programmes and also use the number of development projects the government had undertaken throughout the country as their message to win more members.
