Kofi Adams seized vehicles are not for the state - Police
The Public Relations Officer of the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), ASP Joseph Benefo Darkwah said that the five vehicles belonging to Mr Adams have since been driven out of their premises.

This was after it had been established that they do not belong to the state.
"We have done with our investigation and we have released the vehicles to Mr Kofi Adams," he told Accra-based Joy FM.
Some armed men dressed in military fatigues, suspected to be army officers stormed the private residence of Mr Kofi Adams and seized his vehicles under the pretext that they belonged to the state.

Mr Adams subsequently assembled his team of lawyers who wrote to Inspector of General of Police (IGP), David Apeatu demanding some explanations.
But the police insisted that they needed to carry out their investigation to establish the ownership of the said vehicles.
Upon release of the vehicles, lead counsel for Mr Adams, Samson Lardy Anyenini said the documentation they presented were "just too enormous to have any other different conclusion. The police took their time; they went to the Customs, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Driver Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) and all their checks have vindicated him.”
Mr Adams has since driven his vehicles home.

Meanwhile, he has threatened to take legal action against the Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, and others who insisted that he stole the said vehicles.
“I don’t think we will go beyond Monday [February 27] without filing a suit at the court suing some individuals who came on air to allege that he has tampered with chassis numbers on the vehicles and he has stolen state vehicles. I think Monday will even be far,” his aide Ibrahim Yahaya has told Accra-based Class FM.
