Karaga NPP MP aspirant steps down
Mr Bashiru resigned as a parliamentary nominee on health grounds, the Northern regional secretary of the party, Sule Salifu has said.

The NPP parliamentary aspirant on Saturday, November 8, 2015, narrowly escaped death when the V8 vehicle he and two other persons were traveling in, spurt a front tyre and rammed into a tree killing the two other individuals instantly on the Kumasi-Kintampo Highway.
Mr Bashiru is said to have been advised to resign to enable him fully recover from the fatal accident he had.

The NPP is expected to elect a new person to replace him.
