Hassan Ayariga said Nana Addo at the age of 72 should be thinking of retiring from active politics and moving away from his father’s house. But Kennedy Agyepong said he would have slapped Ayariga if he met him for saying such things.
The firebrand who was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM said: “I don’t want to get annoyed but issues of this nature get me annoyed, I would have slapped him if he were to be close to me.”
He stated that Nana Addo has bought a house in East Legon and questioned why Ayariga would compare himself to Nana Akuffo Addo. He further accused Ayariga of doing the bidding of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in exchange for money.

Hassan Ayariga, recently chastised Nana Akufo-Addo, claiming the 72-year-old still lives in his father’s house in spite of his age.
According to Ayariga, Nana Addo at the age of 72 should be thinking of retiring from active politics and moving away from his father’s house.
“I made my first $1million at the age of 24 without working with any government. I have never been in a government position; I have never worked as a Minister for you to say I have stolen government money. I built my first house at the age of 22…; at age 72, my senior and my father, Nana Akufo-Addo, is still living in his father’s house. At this age 72, I would have retired from politics and been advising young men of this country to move this country forward and not contest with them anymore,” Ayariga said on Accra-based Class FM.
But Agyepong insists “Hassan Ayariga is not Nana Addo’s co-equal. He has no right to compare himself to Nana Addo.”
