Though the John Boadu believes the EC’s directive came too late in the day, the EC insist it has done no wrong as the issue of asserts declaration is a requirement stated on the nomination forms.

Commenting on the matter on Accra-based Asempa FM, campaign coordinator for the NDC Kofi Adams noted that his party considers the ruling of the country as a serious business hence will submit their forms on time.

“We are done with filling the nomination form, we fully understand everything contained on the form. This shows you how organised we are as a political party. We will not wait until a day to close of nomination to rush to the EC offices to seek clarification. Look at the several days that have passed after the NPP picked up their presidential nomination form, and look at when they went to the EC to have things explained to them. It tells you that they are not serious about the governance of this country.”

He revealed that the NDC will submit their nomination forms on Thursday, September 29, 2016
