My ministers have declared their assets - Akufo-Addo

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Graphic and Ghana Television at the Flagstaff House which aired on Friday, President Akufo-Addo said they filed their assets with the auditor general.

"For instead today, in record time, all the appointment that I have made have all declared their assets. All of 36 ministers who were among the first set of appointees  have only as of yesterday declared and filed their assets with the auditor general," he said.

"It is part of the process of reassuring the Ghanaian people that the commitments that we made to protect the public purse, the commitments that we made  to ensure that we live with the political system that minimises corruption which has really ravage our country, brought us to this level of economic decline, there is going to be a systematic attempt to deal with it," he added.
