Abu Ramadan withdraws voters' register suit

The Former youth Organizer for the PNC Abu Ramadan has withdrawn his suit seeking to annul the country's voters' register.

According to his lawyers led by Nana Asante Bediatuo, the decision was to enable them make some changes to their suit due to new information they had gathered from the Electoral commission's outfit.

Abu Ramadan, in December last year filed a suit at the Supreme Court demanding that the 2012 voters’ register be declared null and void.

He based his case on the Supreme Court’s ruling that the National Health Insurance Card was an illegal form of identification for voters.

The Supreme Court presided over by the Chief Justice Georgina Wood granted their request and struck out the case with opportunity to refile.
