“She is one politician who speaks on issues and has never attacked any political opponent since she began her campaign in this constituency.

“The NDC is blessed to have such a candidate to lead them; I can see clearly that victory awaits her on December 7,” the GCPP candidate said on Tuesday, November 8 at a press conference.

Mr Rockson has since written to the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) to officially withdraw from the contest.

He said he is optimistic that NDC’s Zanetor will win the Klottey Korle seat.

Dr Zanetor Rawlings beat incumbent Member of Parliament Nii Armah Ashietey in NDC’s primaries to emerge the parliamentary candidate.

She is expected to face competition from New Patriotic Party’s Philip Addison and independent candidate Nii Noi Nortey, who is a former constituency chairman of the NPP.
