The Assembly has been without a Metropolitan Chief Executive and a Presiding Member.
Attempts by KMA to elect a PM have always ended in chaos as supporters of the two contenders were always in an entrenched position.
Nana Adu Mensah was on Wednesday nominated by the Kumasi Traditional Council as intervention measures after six failed attempts to elect a Presiding Member for the assembly.
The assembly members endorsed his candidature on Thursday, October 13.
Speaking to members of the assembly after his endorsement, the newly elected Presiding Member for the KMA Amakomhene Nana Adu Mensah Asare urged the assembly members to bury their differences and work tirelessly towards the development of the Kumasi metropolis.
He pledged to act fairly in running the affairs of the assembly.
