Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa constituency, Hon. Kofi Jumah, is ready to sacrifice his life for the party, New Patriotic Party (NPP), ahead of the November general elections.

His decision was influenced by the party’s quest to ensure that there is free and fair elections, and validation of the voters’ register before November elections.

He made this statement during an interview on Ultimate FM's 'Breakfast show' hosted by Julius Caesar Anadem. "We will continue to mount pressure on the EC until we are satisfied, we are only demanding what has been given to us by the constitution," he indicated.

When asked if he was prepared to go behind bars in a probable uproar during the party’s demonstration in Kumasi yesterday, the former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) replied "I'm prepared to die."

"Its not a plea but a demand for what is right to be done…it’s their responsibility to do what is right, otherwise they will continue to receive pressure," he said.

According to him, the ruling party appointed the EC’s boss and that its the responsibility of the opposition parties which are not part of the appointment to put her on track.
