The pilot exercise is aimed at testing the biometric registration kits machines which have been upgraded for the subsequent limited voter registration.

The exercise is being undertaken because according to the EC, the old machines could not capture some details of prospective voters.

The acting Director of Public Relations at the EC, Christian Owusu Parry clarified that participants in Saturday’s exercise should not misconstrue it to be a normal exercise.
