Election 2016 is my last try at the presidency

PPP nominee for the 2016 has hinted the November poll will be his final attempt at the presidency

The 2016 presidential nominee of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, says the upcoming November election will be his last and final try at the presidency.

Speaking on Accra based Citi FM, the founder of the PPP said he has made his intention known to the executive and members of the his party.

“This is the last opportunity for Ghanaians to recognize the person who can do the job. If this one passes by, I have done what I can. The rest is up to Ghanaians,”  he said.

The 2016 election will be Dr. Nduom’s third attempt at the presidency. In 2008 he was the presidential candidate for the Convention People’s Party, in 2012 he led the PPP to place third in the December polls.

On Saturday, July 16, 2016 the PPP outdoored Dr. Nduom as their presidential hopeful for the upcoming elections.

Dr. Nduom who’s main campaign message is job creation argues that even though the other presidential hopefuls have good professions to help the nation, none of them can handle the unemployment in the country but him.

He also referred to his track record on the number of businesses and jobs he has created in his private life as evidence to that.

Dr. Nduom has also often mentioned that when voted into power his party will quash the winner takes all system which is currently practiced in the country. He promised he will bring every qualified Ghanaian on board to help develop the nation if he becomes president after the November polls.

“We are committed to running an inclusive government using the best men and women no matter where they come from, no matter what their religion is, no matter their part affiliation. We want the best for Ghana and only the best and selfless will serve in our administration,” he added.
