Eastern region NDC constituency chairmen resume work

All 33 constituency chairmen of the NDC in the Eastern region have resumed their services to the party

All 33 constituency chairmen in the Eastern region have resolved to open the offices and go back to their normal duties.

This was after a meeting with the regional party executives on August 10, 2015. The meeting took place right after the five executive members of Mpraeso constituency who were in police custody were granted bail.

They were in police custody for allegedly attacking the Kwahu South District Chief Executive, Joseph Omari Sasu. There has been bad blood between the two parties for a while now.

The five will reappear in court on Friday.

The DCE has been accused of acting unilaterally and also engaging in unruly behavior in the district.

In an interview with Pulse.com.gh regional secretary Oliver Kevor said, "the chairmen have rescinded their decision to close all the offices. They have opened the office and we are continuing with our work. "..

He said they are waiting for Presidnent John Mahama to act on their second demand which is dismissing the Kwahu South DCE.
