National organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress, Kofi Adams has  described the allegation made by ex-president John Agyekum Kufuor that the NDC has  squandered money meant for the development of the Volta region particularly in their handling of the Keta Sea Defense Project as “interesting and baseless”.

“Is so interesting sometimes for President Kufuor to come out and say such things without a basis. I’m sure he might have been misquoted but if truly he said so then I do not know where they saw the matter of some monies been spent for what it's not meant for, the project as we speak we are all aware its ongoing. The Ministry of Works and Housing can provide details,” he said.

He however asked ex-president Kufuor not to claim the glory of the NDC, saying that Ho polytechnic was constructed under PNDC with GETFUND by ex-president Rawlings.

He was also quick to add that NDC completed the Nkonya through to Dambai road which ex-president Kufuor and the NPP started.

Kofi Adams also advised that ex-president Kufuor should update himself before making such allegations.

“If he can come with further and better particulars on this I believe a better response would be put out for him,” he said added.
