Here is how to spend Valentine's day without feeling lonely:

1.Pretend like the day is just an ordinary

Forget about the public display of affection and constant TV, radio and online advertisement about Valentine's day. Go about your normal activities. Assume is just  a normal weekend, find some pop corn and watch funny movies.

2. Prepare your favourite meal

"The way to a man's heart is through food". Prepare your favourite meal on Valentine's day, wear your favorite outfit and invite your single friends over for an in-house party. Crack jokes, sing karaoke, dance and make the day memorable.

3. Visit your family

Spend the day with your family. Help your parents with their chores; cleaning, washing and decorations. Spend quality time with your mother and get some elderly advice on how to find the right man and maintain your home.

4. Avoid public places

Hotels, restaurants, pubs, recreational centers, shopping malls are full to capacity during occasions like Valentine's day. Avoid such places to prevent causing tearing up in front of others who are busy cuddling, kissing and hugging.

5. Engage in a hobby

Practice makes man perfect. Use this Valentine's day to embark on a project. You can redecorate your room, paint your room , engage in some fun and productive activity which will have a positive impact on your life.

6. Donations

Valentine is all about love and sharing. Make some donations to the people of your vicintity. Doesn't matter what you give or how small it is, your kind gesture will be appreciation.

7. Have a spa day, or get a massage

It's probably best for you to take on the steam room solo, anyway.

8. Travel somewhere new

When you travel with other people, you always end up making compromises on what sights to see, where to eat, and what activities to do. Traveling alone  even if it's just to the next town over gives you the luxury of going at your own pace so that you're able to soak up everything about the trip that you want to.
