Foreplay is never overrated. Although our bodies respond to stimuli at different rates, many people think foreplay is not overrated; they think it plays a crucial role during the sexual process.

“Behind every nail biting sex is foreplay,” I believe. Even the best of quickies start with foreplay. The longer the foreplay, the deeper the woman’s feelings and desires to be with her partner develops.

In an interview Pulse.com.gh conducted with some ladies in their early thirties, the following views were sampled. Most of them felt that foreplay is never overrated; it rather arouses their feelings more for the bigger act.

“I don’t think so. It is so important and should not be ignored. Foreplay is not overrated. It is still done all over,” said the first, who like the others, preferred to remain anonymous.

“No; because without it a lady will not have all the hormones for sex working. Ladies need foreplay to get in the mood, unlike the men who can achieve an erection spontaneously, without any foreplay,” said the second.

A group of five working class gentlemen also revealed foreplay paves the way for them to sexually satisfy their partners way better.

“It prepares both individuals - but especially the woman - for the act of sex. It is also emotionally gratifying.”

Another added: “No, it isn’t overrated mainly because it paves the way for a better intercourse”.

A man in his late thirties opined: “I think foreplay always does the trick.”

“No, foreplay is very key in awakening the sexual drive in the lead up to sex,” said another. “Without foreplay, sex will be just a normal, dry act. Both men and women need to have ample time to explore the key triggers of their partners which can eventually lead to a mind blowing sexual encounter.”

A much more experienced man also expressed: “Foreplay makes the act of sex easy. It makes the woman wet, reduces the pain and eventually makes her enjoy the session to the brim.”

A mother, basing her opinion on her marital experience, also revealed: “Trust me, foreplay can truly inspire a lady to climax even before penetration. It sets the ball rolling.”
