The company is expected in court today, July 23, 2015 to file the terms of settlement.

Former President Rawlings

Information reaching Pulse.com.gh indicates that the Melbond Microfinance Company has agreed to settle Fio Yohannes, taxi driver who sued it for breach of contract.

Mr Yohannes had accused the company of breach of contract and had the full backing of former president John Rawlings.

A Fast-Track High Court in Accra last week asked Mr. Rawlings to seek an out of court settlement in the case which he backed the taxi driver to bring before the court.

Mr Yohannes is suing Accra-based Melbond Microfinance Company for the recovery of an amount of GH¢32,390 plus interest at the prevailing commercial bank rates from February, 2015 till final date of payment. He is also asking the court, presided by Justice Robin Batu to award him damages for breach of contract and loss of income.
