Mozambique coach hails 'quality' Black Stars squad

"Ghana's squad is one of the best in Africa. The squad is amazing in terms of numbers, solutions and experience," Xavier said at a press conference after the game.

The head Coach of Mozambican national team, Abel Xavier, has heaped praise on Avram Grant's squad claiming it has incredible amounts of quality in experience and depth.

Mozambique failed to take their home ground advantage when they drew 0-0 against Ghana in the second leg of their Group H, 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier at Estadio do Zimpeto in Maputu on Sunday.

"I think they can go far. It is not easy to play against such a team. We lost the first leg [in Accra on Thursday] and wanted to redeem ourselves in front of our fans but it was very difficult.

"We will try and improve in our next two games."
