Black Stars take blood tests

Players of the Ghana national team were made to go through mandatory blood tests before training on Wednesday

 

Black Stars team doctor Baba Adams supervised a medical exercise that involved all 22 provisional squad members who trained at the St Thomas Aquinas School football pitch on Wednesday.

Avram Grant's team had gathered for the first time as part of preparations for next month's AFCON in Gabon.

Before training, Dr. Adams took players through a mandatory blood test as part of doping protocol ahead of the official squad announcement, which is scheduled for Saturday December 31.

The players who Grant will select on Saturday will travel to the UAE for a 13-day pre-tournament camping before finally flying to Gabon.

Ghana are in Group D alongside Egypt, Uganda and Mali.
