Black Queens survive air scare in Cameroon

The flight carrying the Senior National Football Team of Ghana on Wednesday was forced to land due to unfavourable atmospheric conditions.

The Black Queens drew goalless on Wednesday against Nigeria in their second group B encounter of the 2016 African Women’s Championship in Cameroon and were on board in a flight from Douala to Yaoundé where they will face Mali on Saturday in their final group game.

But while on board, the pilot informed them to fasten their seat belt, because the plane had to make an emergency landing due to the poor weather conditions that would make their journey to Yaoundé impossible.

The team spent the night at the airport, because they had checked out of their hotel.
