Hearts board member: Kenichi is the most difficult coach to manage

Alhaji Akambi has expressed the board and management of Hearts of Oak’s frustration at how to manage the Japanese-American trainer

The Strategic Committee of Accra Hearts of Oak has not been in good terms with the head coach of the club, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, because he has refused to attend the various technical meetings organised and has also demonstrated several acts of indiscipline.

There have been considerations to relieve Kenichi Yatsuhashi of his job, but he seems to be having the backing of the supporters due to his positive results on the field, after guiding Hearts of Oak to a 2 place on the league log.

However, his side have obtained just 5 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 games coupled with their match day 10 defeat to Kotoko. The head coach, following the loss to their archrivals again refused to attend a technical meeting, after management invited him.

Alhaji Akambi, a member of the Strategic Committee has therefore expressed the difficulty they have been going through in trying to manage Kenichi.

“People don’t know how we have done well in managing Kenichi. I have seen so many difficult coaches at Hearts of Oak like the Israeli, Eyal Lachman, but never seen anyone like Kenichi.

“A coach who can tell management that he won’t attend technical meetings because they are not productive,” Alhaji Akambi told Happy FM.
