Black Stars midfielder returns to Marseille for medical treatment

West Ham have given Andre Ayew permission to return his former club for medical treatment.

Andre Ayew completed his 20.6 million club record fee from Swansea City to West Ham United this summer.

But he broke his thigh on his debut against Chelsea FC in a game his side lost 2-0 in the London derby.

Andre Ayew is expected to return to the field in December, but the 26-year old attacking midfielder who fears his recovery could delay has sought permission from the Hammers to seek treatment in France.
