Ghanaian set "to join West Ham United for £16 million"

The winger has been linked with a move away from the Liberty all summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Napoli all interested in signing the former Marseille man.

Andre Ayew is leaving Swansea City to join West Ham United for £16 million, according to The Sun.

The Ghana star has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium this summer, with the likes of Sunderland, Liverpool and Chelsea all said to be interested at one stage.

However, The Sun claim that The Hammers have won the race to sign a player that they could have had for free last summer.

The national paper report Slaven Billic's Hammers will offer the Ghananian £75,000 a week to pen a deal at the Olympic Stadium.

Ayew signed for Swansea last summer on a free transfer, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Eder and Alberto Paloschi have already left the club this summer, with Bafetimbi Gomis expected to join Marseille on loan.

That would leave manager Francesco Guidolin with just Oliver McBurnie as his only recognised striker.

The Sun also report Swansea will turn their attentions to Cristian Tello should Ayew leave.
