Al Ahly ready to bid for Black Stars captain

Egyptian club Al Ahly are in talks with Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan for a transfer move.

Pulse.com.gh understands that the club have initiated negotiations with the striker who is looking for an exit out of Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.

Ahly are interested in bringing Gyan on loan till the end of the season and the player has been given 48 hours to respond to the offer from the multiple time African champions.

It is not yet clear what the details of the offer are but are sticking point will be the wages to be paid to Gyan, one of the highest earners in world football at the moment.

Ahly already have Ghanaian hit man John Antwi on their books but the capture of a genuine star of the world game in Gyan will boost their profile and their chances of winning another African title.
