Black Stars skipper suffers injury after Emirati-Moroccan Super Cup win

Asamoah Gyan stretched off in closing stages of Al Ahli’s victory in the first Emirati-Moroccan Super Cup.

The 30-year-old striker struck the only goal of the game: UAE midfielder Habib Fardan flicked a loose ball almost from kick-off onto loanee Gyan, who supplied a first-time finish inside the penalty box to make it five goals in his first six games.

However, Gyan couldn’t last the entire duration of the game, as he was stretched off.

He will be observed by the team’s medics ahead of their weekend game against Dibba Al Fujairah.
