GFA/PLB urges Ghana champions to replicate 1997 Champions League feat

The organisers of the Ghana Premier League have encouraged Ashgold to make Ghana proud in Africa

The Premier League Board on behalf of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) wishes to express its profound support to Premier League Champions, Ashantigold in their African campaign this season.

As our champion club kick off their CAF Champions League campaign against M.O. Bejaia of Algeria this weekend, the GFA is of the belief that Ashantigold will scale this intial hurdle and go very far in the competition.

Th current Ashantigold team has history to look up to for motivation ib the competition, as the club is a pioneer of the CAF Champions League and the first Ghanaian club to play in a grande finale of the competition in 1997.

The GFA urges Ashantigold to emulate the resilience of that historic squad to restore Ghana's pride in the competition.
