The annual allocation of unclaimed talent will be staged June 22 in the New York arena, with the Boston Celtics owning the top pick after winning Tuesday's NBA Draft Lottery.

The Nets finished with the NBA's worst record this past season at 20-62, but had traded away their selection in the draft to the Celtics as part of the deal four years ago that saw Boston send stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Nets in a blockbuster deal for multiple first-round picks.

The Celtics owned the best regular-season record in the Eastern Conference at 53-29 and play the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers in the best-of-seven conference finals.

The winner will play either the Golden State Warriors or San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals starting June 1.
