Roberto Martinez grabs national team job

The Spaniard has been handed the Belgium national team job

Marc Wilmots, left his job last month, two weeks after the Euros, following his team’s surprise elimination from the championship in the quarterfinals against Wales.

Roberto Martinez, who was sacked by Everton has grabbed his first job as a national team coach.

In a statement, the Belgian FA said it was "delighted and proud to have found a coach at this level so quickly".

At Everton, Martinez managed Belgium internationals Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas.

The 43-year-old spent 9 years in England coaching clubs like Everton, Wigan and Swansea.
