Asamoah Gyan to miss Ghana's clash against Uganda?

Gyan has been left out by coach Kwesi Appiah after he failed to return for his club’s weekend trip to Kasimpasa.

Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has been ruled out of the team’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda in October after picking up an injury.

The all-time Ghanaian top scorer who opened his goal account last week in the Turkish cup for Kayserispor was expected to be named in the Black Stars team after missing the last Congo game.

But Gyan has been left out by coach Kwesi Appiah after he failed to return for his club’s weekend trip to Kasimpasa.

The 32-year-old has been struggling with a plethora of injuries since moving to Turkey, limiting his impact on the pitch to both the frustrations of his manager and his teammates.

Gyan was heavily criticized following his performance in the 1-1 draw against Congo with many questioning his continual starting slot.

Kwesi Appiah is expected to announce his squad for World Cup qualifiers later this week with some big names expected to be left out of the team.
