Mario Balotelli regrets choosing Italy over Ghana

“Himself (Balotelli), has started realising he made a big mistake playing for the Italian National Team and he has told friends about it”, Balotelli's father GazzettaGhana.com

Balotelli was born to Ghanaian parents in Italy but was adopted by an Italian couple as his then poverty-stricken Ghanaian family could not take proper care of him.

The striker grew up rather allying himself to the culture and beliefs of the European country, ditching his roots to commit his international future to the Azzuris (Italy's senior men's football team).

And now the Italian forward is disappointed with what he describes as “unfair” treatment by Italy, and has now regretted choosing the Azurri over the Black Stars
