Player ratings - Mozambique 0-0 Ghana

Pulse.com.gh editor Godfred Akoto Boafo rates the Black Stars players for the 2017 AFCON qualifying game against Mozambique

The Black Stars of Ghana drew closer to another AFCON appearance after a drab goalless game in Maputo. Pulse.com.gh rates the players on show.

Razak Braimah 6- Did not have much to do all game aside watching a Pelembe header bounce off his crossbar in the first half. One of the easiest games he has played for the Black Stars. Harrison Afful 6- Saw a lot of the ball in Maputo unlike the first leg .One cross that Assifuah should have buried stood out.Aside that a steady performance.

John Boye 7- An easy day at the office for the center back as he dealt with everything the Mambas threw at him.

Jonathan Mensah 7-Anzhi's newest defender should have scored with a free header but that will not take the shine off a decent performance.Showed his ability to read the game with some timely interventions.

Baba Rahman 5- Another underwhelming performance from Baba Rahman. The swashbuckling left back who burst into the team has been replaced by a timid impersonator. One late run showed what he is capable off but moments are becoming infrequent.

Agyeman Badu 5- Badu's skillset is a pretty limited one and this was not the right game to showcase them. Very hard to recall a sequence where he influenced the game.

Afriyie Acquah 7-  A return to form for Ghana's enforcer as he bullied the Mambas with his power and pace.Started a few attacks with his passing range.

Alfred Duncan 6-A decent showing from the Sassuolo midfielder as he burts forward from his midfield role. Drew a fine save from Causito and placed another header wide.

Jeffrey Schlupp 5- Missed another chance to stake a claim to a starting berth in the team. Full of energy but he looks lost in the current set up.

Jordan Ayew 7- Never seems to stop running.Drew defenders to himself to create space and also linked up well to make chances.

Ebenezer Assifuah- Mozambiques's right back Edmilson will not forget the man in the 11 shirt for a while as Assifuahs's pace tortured him. Needs to work on his composure infront of goal as he missed two clear chances that were easier to score than to miss.
