Andre Ayew ruled out for four months

Ghanaian star Andre Ayew has been ruled out of football action for four months due to injury.

The Black Stars vice-captain will require surgery after sustaining an injury just 35 minutes into his Premier League debut for West Ham United.

Andre was chasing Eden Hazard for a ball when he appeared to have pulled his thigh muscle.

The bad news was confirmed on Twitter by  Jack Sullivan, the son of West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan.

Jack tweeted:

“We are devastated that Ayew will be out for about 4  month. He needs a surgery”

Andre Ayew joined West Ham United on a record transfer fee from Swansea City.

The Ghanaian who moved to the Welsh club from Olympique Marseille at the start of last season ended his debut season in the English Premier League as Swansea City’s top scorer.

Andre Ayew scored 12 goals for Swansea City last season and continued his superb form with the club in pre-season before completing his transfer move to West Ham United.
