Isaac Dogboe, Ayitey Powers to thrill Goldstar Salafest Boxing

Ayittey Powers to fight a boxing bout with a yet to be named opponent

Hot sensation, Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe will face Aziz Quartey whilst eccentric Ayitey Powers also slugs it out with a yet-to-be confirmed opponent in two exhibitions when the now annual Salafest Boxing extravaganza sponsored by Ghanaian own airline, Goldstar Airlines returns to the Opera Square in Accra on Saturday night, July 9.

Goldstar Airlines which have promised massive support for Ghanaian boxing are sponsoring the event organized by Pakis Boxing Promotion in collaboration with Junior Walaga Promotion which will see aout ten amateur bouts featuring boxers from Ivory Coast, Niger and Cameroon

The tournament is also aimed at sensitizing Ghanaians on maintaining and enhancing peace, stability and unity before, during and after the country’s general elections in November with Sports Minister and MP for Ododiodiodio, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye expected as Guest of Honour.

Some of the match-ups on the night will include Mohammed Mubarak of Ivory Coast versus Prosper Anyewa of Ghana in a Middleweight contest, Ali Funeka of Cameroun against Ghana’s Richard Neequaye as well as Issifu Diarra of Niger versus Ernest Appau, also of Ghana on a night billed to be full of thrills and excitement.

Other supporters of Goldstar Airlines include Voltic mineral water, Electrical Dealers Association, Ultimate group of companies, Freight Consult, Sahara Mining, Role Product of Wild and Sallydeen Ent.

The Salafest Boxing show first belled off last year at the same Opera Square in the heart of Accra and promises to be much bigger and exciting this year along with a higher patronage.
