Filipino boxing star Manny Pacquiao said on Wednesday he was recovering well after surgery for a shoulder injury, a news report said.

"I'm ready to fight, next year,’’ he said in Indonesia when he was asked whether he was ready for a re-match with Floyd Mayweather after their fight in May, a website reported.

"I'm fine. I can lift it,’’ Pacquiao said, gesturing with his right arm during a trip to Indonesia to film a commercial’’.

Several lawsuits have been filed against Pacquiao and his promoters for allegedly failing to disclose his shoulder injury before the fight against Mayweather, the most lucrative bout in history.
