Mzonke Fana rushed to Hospital after Tagoe's punishment

On the flip side of the IBO lightweight clash between Emmanuel Tagoe and South African boxer Fana Nzonke, the much talked clash witnessed “dumsor” (Power Outage) on Friday night.

South African boxer Fana Mzonke 's attempt to win a world title in Accra almost ended in tragedy after he collapsed inside the ring.

Fana had completed a 12 round bout against eventual winner Emmanuel Tagoe in an IBO lightweight encounter when he went unconscious,prompting a frenetic response from medical personnel at ringside.

The boxer was resuscitated inside the bring after several attempts before he was put into an ambulance and driven to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Pulse Sports checks indicate that he is in recovery but under watch.

Mzonke took the fight against Tagoe on four days notice and looked visibly exhausted as the fight wore on at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
