The former WBC featherweight champion is reported to have held talks with authorities of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) on starting an airline in the country.
Reports circulating in the local media suggested that Azumah Nelson was already working on the necessary documents, so as to facilitate the establishment of his airline.
However, the boxing legend has refuted such claims, insisting there is not iota of truth in the reports.
According to him, there have been no such talks between himself and authorities of the GCAA, and does intend on starting an airline.
“Don’t mind them, it is not true. It is not true. That Information is not true,” he is quoted as saying in an interview with Starr Sports.
Azumah Nelson dominated the WBC division during his heydays, gaining a reputation as one of the greatest boxers to ever emerge from Africa.
