Isaac Dogbe conferred with ‘Okofo’ title by Akwamumanhene

Isaac Dogboe defeated Mexico's Cesar Juarez to win the WBO Interim Super Bantamweight title.

The young boxer received the honour as recognition for his sterling performances in the ring over the last few years.

Dogboe recently won the WBO Interim Super Bantamweight title following his fifth-round knockout victory over Mexico’s Cesar Juarez.

The former Olympian, therefore, been on a ‘Thank You’ tour to render his appreciation to all those who have supported him thus far.

The undefeated boxer took the time to pay a courtesy call on the overlord of Akwamuman at the Bogyawe Palace to present to him his latest title.

Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III was pleased with the efforts of the 23-year-old boxer and elected to confer on him the title of “Okofo’, which translates as “fighter”.

The Chief encouraged the boxer to keep his head up, while also advising him to contue working hard so as to make himself and the nation proud.

Dogboe holds a flawless record of 18 fights, with no draws or loses  and 11 of his wins coming by way of knockout.

The young boxer is now set for a proper world title fight against Jessie Magdaleno, who is the current WBO World Super Bantamweight champion.
