Rapper 50 Cent slams Australian boxer

American rapper and boxing promoter 50 Cent has taken aim at "punk" Australian Billy Dib amid accusations he owes the former IBF world champion money.

American rapper and boxing promoter 50 Cent has taken aim at "punk" Australian Billy Dib amid accusations he owes the former IBF world champion money.

Curtis Jackson, known as '50 Cent', was responding to Dib, who claims the star rapper left him $1million AUD out of pocket after signing a multi-fight contract in 2012.

Dib - preparing to make his comeback to the ring against Sukkasem Kietyongyuth on February 26 after his wife died last September - told the Sydney Morning Herald this week that joining up with 50 Cent "was possibly the worst career move that I've made in my life."

The 30-year-old's comments drew a scathing response from 50 Cent, who took to Instagram to slam the featherweight boxer.

"The truth is Billy Dib is an ungrateful fighter who was deemed unwatchable by premium networks like Showtime and HBO when I met him," 50 Cent wrote.

"Floyd was mad at me for signing him in the first place. With a record of 35-1 [21 Kos], Dib must have fought 21 cab drivers in Australia because Evgeny Gradovich with a record of 15-0 [8 Kos] beat the s*** out of him, despite taking the fight on a month's notice.

"It’s no secret that the level of competition and talent, fighting in America is the highest. The best fighters in the world come here to fight.

"Eight months later, I put Dib on the Manny Pacquiao undercard for the rematch with Gradovich. He got knocked the f*** out. I can only set the fight up ... I can't fight for you, punk! I didn't take a dime of your money. They call me a lot of s***, but never a thief."
