Baba Rahman's team stunned by relegation threatened Sunderland

Sunderland came from behind to edge Chelsea in a five-goal English Premier League thriller

The Ghanaian defender did not start the game for his Chelsea team but was introduced in the 69th minute as he replaced Branislav Ivanovic.

Chelsea who were playing away from home scored the first goal of the game with Diego Costa putting the London club ahead.

Whbi Khazri levelled the scoring for Sunderland but a late first half goal from Nemanja Matic broke hearts of Sunderland fans as they went into the interval trailing by two goals to one.

Fabio Borini scored after the first half break to level the game at 2-2 before Jermain Defoe grabbed all three crucial points for Sunderland with his winner three minutes later with Sam Allardyce’s team holding on from the 70th minute till the end of the game.

Chelsea captain John Terry was sent off for two bookable offences against Sunderland with the England international set to miss what would have been his last Premier League game as a Chelsea player at Stamford Bridge next week when they entertain Champions Leicester City in the last game of the season.
