Fiifi Anaman wins Best Column at Sport Media Pearl Awards

Ghanaian journalist wins Best Column award for his piece on allsports.com.gh now pulse.com.gh/sports

Ghanaian journalist Fiifi Anaman has won the Best Column for his article How the Black Stars Stabbed the Nation in Cold Blood at the Sport Media Pearl Awards ceremony in Abu Dhabi.

Mr. Anaman wrote the piece for allsports.com.gh, now pulse.com.gh/sports after the Black Stars’ drama-filled participation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

The Ghanaian sports journalist beat Francesco Caremani from Italy and Johannes Nedo from Germany to winning the Best Column award on a piece of writing that best demonstrate relevance, knowledge and authority in the field of sports.

A modest Fiifi Anaman told Pulse.com.gh after winning the award:

"First of all I'm humbled by the hounour.

"I consider myself very lucky in life because I'm getting opportunities that normally are nowhere close to the level I'm at.

"I am also grateful to God and to all who have believed in me."

The Sports Pearl Media Award was the second major nomination for Fiifi Anaman in the year 2015. The young Ghanaian sports journalist was shortlisted for the prestigious CNN African Journalist of the Year and attended the Gala Award Ceremony in October 2015.
