Black Stars striker on target for Chicago Fires in MLS

David Accam scored his seventh league goal of the season in his side’s 2-2 draw against LA Galaxy.

The game helped Chicago Fires to extend their unbeaten home run to 11 games.

Los Angeles struck first just past the half-hour mark with a hard-hit volley from Gyasi Zardes.

Alvarez put the hosts back in the game when he fired the ball into an empty net after, LA Galaxy's goalkeeper Clement Diop came off his line.

The second half began with LA dodging a few bullets. First Accam got on the end of a long ball and beat the onrushing Diop from distance, but after squaring to Solignac with just Jelle Van Damme to beat in front of a gaping net, he somehow skied his shot high of the post

Moments later, David Accam scored from spot kick with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner.

However, Giovani dos Santos leveled for Los Angeles in the 70th minute. Alan Gordon cut a pass diagonally into the center of the box and dos Santos clipped his shot with the outside of his left boot to make it 2-2.
