Chicago Fire are set to welcome David Accam after the midfielder stepped up his training, and is set to make a return for the MLS club against Vancouver on May 11.

The Ghana international was unused by Chicago Fire in their 1-1 stalemate with DC United on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old sprained his knee in March after featuring in just two matches of the 2016 season. In those two appearances, he scored two goals and added an assist for the Fire.

Accam, who has been out for close to four weeks , is set to resume full training, which will come as a massive boost for Chicago Fire, who have been without their star striker for most part ofthe season.
