Manchester City suffer 1-3 home defeat against Chelsea

The Blues Came from a goal down to beat Man City 3-1 at the Ettihad Sports Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League.

The win has given Chelsea 7 straight wins to maintain their lead at the summit of the league table. The last time they lost a game was a 0-3 defeat to Chelsea and that seemed to be the wakeup call for the Blues.

Jesus Navas ball across the face of goal was connected into the net by Cahill on the stroke of half time to give Manchester City the  lead.

Back from the recess, Jesus Navas put Kevin De Bruyne through after beating the goalkeeper, yet the Belgian hit the wood work with a yarning net to put ball into.

In the 59 minute Cesc Fabregas sent well calculated long one to Diego Costa and beat Otamandi to ball, before he struck the ball at the blind side of Claudio Bravo in post.

Sergio Aguero should have restored Manchester City’s lead two minutes later, but he shot the ball direct toward Courtois.

Chelsea were left off the hook, after coming under so much pressure and against the run of play a ball from defence found Diego Costa who raced and put Willian through. The Brazilian speedster run with the ball, before beating Claudio Bravo to send Chelsea into the lead in the 69 minute.

Eden Hazard put the game beyond the reach of Manchester City in the 89 minute when another long ball from the Chelsea defence located Eden Hazard who finished off nicely to give the visitors a 3-1 victory.

Aguero was sent off for a nasty tackle in the late minute of the game.
