Poland qualifies for quarter-finals

Poland are through to the Euro 2016 quarter-finals; their first ever qualification to this stage.

Poland beat Switzerland 5-4 on penalties to qualify for the quarter final of the Euro 2016.

Poland are the first team through to the quarter-finals, courtesy of this winning penalty, and will face the winner of tonight's clash between Croatia and Portugal.

Jakub Blaszczykowski fired Poland ahead before Switzerland hit back through Xherdan Shaqiri's sublime finish.

The Stoke player beat Lukasz Fabianski with an overhead kick from 18 yards.
