Ghana are currently in Jordan preparing for the FIFA U-17 Championship in Jordan, but there was disturbing news dominating the news that the team is depleted because eight players are above the required age.

Responding to this Evans Adotey says there is no truth in the reports.

"What I said in the interview was that due to the FIFA regulations for this tournament which states that the girls must have been born after January 1 1999, some of our girls who were qualified at the time are no longer eligible to play in this years tournament," he said.

"The players are worried that there are reports in ghana which says they failed MRI tests. Such reports must not be emanating from our own people.

"None of the players here have been disqualified by the MRI. Those who could not make it were not brought to Jordan at all," he added.
