NEC terminates Quincy Owusu-Abeyie's contract over indiscipline

NEC have cancelled the one-year contract of ex-Black Stars forward Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, following acts of indiscipline on the part of the player.

The swift winger was left out of the first team before the winter break, following an outburst with trainer Peter Hyballa when he was late for training session.

The former Arsenal and Spartak Moscow player played a total of 12 games for NEC, without a goal. However, he gave four assists, the most of all players within the NEC team.

Owusu-Abeyie signed one-year performance contract in the summer. This means that he will earn more as he plays more matches, but has not featured for the side following the incident.
